You could handle Japan I bet. Extremely sterile, very professional (even in fast food restaurants), and easy on the stomach. Raw fish is special-occasion food (most Japanese don't eat it more than once a week), and stuff like rice, noodle & other non-fish Japanese food is always good & very cheap. The closer to China you get the more slack food safety becomes. The ass-o'-fire thing took me a whole year to overcome. I think I can handle India now -maybe.
Comcast customer service is abysmal. I think they drive the majority of "You suck!" memes found on the Internet.
I have traveled enough that I could keep an open mind but I think I’d be least comfortable in Asia. A friend of mine goes to China 1-2 times per year and ends up seriously sick each time, usually losing 5-10 pounds while there from shitting and puking everything out.
Steve, I hear you on the sex & pizza thing! Haha! As for pizza, Japan gets it wrong most of the time (corn and mayonnaise with barely any sauce or cheese, wtf??) but Korea gets it so right! Lunamor, keeping an open mind is a survival tactic. :D I'd go nuts-o otherwise.
Telephone services in the UK are okay, but not exactly world-leading when it comes to fast data rates for internet traffic. I pay about £23 (about 30 US dollars) a month for my landline standing charge, a few calls (I don’t use the phone much) and standard ADSL broadband. That means around 12Mb/s (1.5MB/s) where I live. People living in cities are better supported. I could pay more for a fibre optic connection (at least to connect my domestic copper wire connection to a fibre optic one at the nearest street cabinet) which would increase speeds, but since the only way I’d benefit from such speeds is when I download something huge, like a game, I don’t intend doing so. Such connections are really aimed at households where there is a family with several simultaneous users. 12Mb/s is fine for most purposes. 8Mb/s is a typical data rate for 1080p HDTV, for example.
I think if I was out of the US for some time the food I’d miss most would be BBQ and Mexican food. Unless I was in Mexico of course. I might miss pizza but most civilized countries now have pizza. Sure it’s not necessarily high quality but pizza, like sex, even when it’s bad it’s still pretty good.
You never know, maybe that’s his kink. Which of course would make the next 4 weeks kind of bland.

Well Jesus Mary (and Joseph for good measure) you just brought it up! I finally started to sleep normally again.
And people here always ask me what 'American food' I like best. They always seem let down when I say 'Tex-Mex' or 'Cajun food.' They always expect me to say 'hamburgers,' for some reason. :)
There was an "Ask Reddit" thread a few years ago asking expats what they miss most about America and the most popular answer by far was "Mexican food."
